Will Breazeale first to pledge “Bonded Term Limit”

A post by "Jeff Monks"

Jeffrey S. Monks is the Founder and Executive Director of Citizens Opposing Incumbency. He is also the owner/GM of The Monks Media Radio Network and a Sales and Marketing Director in the Nondestructive Testing Industry. Jeff encourages all Americans to Join COI-PAC and be a part of this citizen based Grass Roots organization to end the #1 problem in our Government: Self Perpetuating Career Politicians and their obscene terms of incumbency.

Breazeale caught the eye of “COI-PAC” when he became the first man in the nation to sign a “Bonded Term Limit Pledge.” In the pledge, Breazeale bonded $250,000 of personal wealth to ensure he would seek no more than three terms in office.

“Will Breazeale exemplifies the commitment to honest and earnest public service. Not only has Will pledged to COI-PAC to seek no more than six years in the 7th District seat, he has become the first ‘Bonded Term Limit Pledge’ maker in North Carolina,” praised COI-PAC Executive Director Jeff Monks.

Will BreazealeIncumbency is a powerful thing. I don’t need to tell you that, because anyone visiting this site is dedicated to the idea of eradicating the detriment that the “Career Politician” has become to our society. Jeff and the COI-PAC crew have asked me to give a first hand account from our own current U.S. House race on just how powerful and corrupt incumbency is.

For those of you who don’t know, I am running for the United States House of Representatives in North Carolina’s 7th Congressional District. I am a three-time Iraq War veteran. I am going up against everything you oppose. My opponent is a seven-time incumbent, first elected in 1996. At the time he signed a pledge to serve no more than six terms. When the 2008 election came around, he not only ignored his pledge, he spat on it. In turn, he spat right in the face of every voter in District 7.

As I have studied and learned my opponent, I have been amazed at the arrogance incumbency brings with it. My opponent is most famous for bringing “Big Checks” (they actually are oversized checks) back to the district. From fixing potholes to beach tree nourishment, if there are votes to be had, he has got money to secure them. Only when he presents the “Big Check” it doesn’t say U.S. Taxpayer at the bottom of it. It says his name. This guy actually puts his own name on a check that is being cashed at your expense. In the real world, if you do that, it’s called check fraud and you go to jail. In the U.S. House of Representatives, you get celebrated.

In the past I would get really angry about the whole thing. Then I realized, we have no one to blame but ourselves. The wonderful thing about our country is that we have the power to stop anything, anytime we want. They are called elections. So until we have the WILL and the dedication to vote these thieves out of office, we have exactly the government we deserve.

In the past, our government has been allowed to get away with this abuse of the U.S. Taxpayer. Not anymore. 2010 is the year it stops! We have seen in Massachusetts, Virginia and New Jersey, that the revolution has already begun. The train has left the station and there is nothing the Pelosi-McIntyre Agenda can do to stop it. Americans are seeing through the games and no longer falling for the lies.

Unlike my opponent, I put my money where my mouth is. Last Fall, I became the first candidate nationwide to sign a “Bonded Term Limits Pledge.” What that means is I have vowed to serve no more than three full terms in the U.S. House. If I break my pledge, I break my bank account. I have backed my word with a $250,000 bond. If I go for term four, that full amount of money becomes property of a worthy charity here in Wilmington. It’s called meaning what you say, and saying what you mean. I strongly urge all COI-PAC readers to make sure all candidates sign the “Bonded Term Limits Pledge.”

Thanks again for allowing me the space to tell my story and my first hand run ins with the power of incumbency. We are always looking for great men and women to join our team and help us create victory in 2010! Please check out my website at www.awilltowin.net or email me directly at will@awilltowin.com. Thanks again to COI-PAC and keep up the great work! You will be vital to us taking back the country this November.

Will Breazeale
U.S. Congressional Candidate

Citizens Opposing Incumbency are very pleased to endorsed Will Breazeale

Citizens Opposing Incumbency are very pleased to endorsed Will Breazeale for the 7th congressional district of North Carolina. Will is the perfect example of a public servant who is seeking office for the right reason: To provide service, plain and simple.

COI-PAC only endorses candidates who are willing to pledge to seek no more than 2 terms (based on a US Senator’s term of 6 years each) in any elected office, after which they will “move up” to a higher office or “move out” meaning private sector work or retirement. Coi-PAC believes the ills of our government are tied directly to obscene terms of incumbency by career politicians and the manipulation of these office holders by the 2 party system. COI-PAC is a non- partisan Political Action Committee being incorporated as a political action committee.

COI formed to unite all the disenfranchised, disgruntled and ignored citizens of this country. COI understands that in order to ever allow free and open debate, transparency and full disclosure on the actions of the political leaders in America we must achieve one key change: The END OF INCUMBENCY.

Will Breazeale exemplifies the commitment to honest and earnest public service. Not only has Will pledged to COI-PAC to seek no more than 12 years in the 7th district seat, he has become the first “bonded pledge” maker in NC.

In this light, COI-PAC and its members enthusiastically support Will for the 7th congressional district for election to the US House of Representative in the 2010 Primary and General Election!
