In recent years, citizens have begun to speak out against the corruption in our government.  In the most recent months, marches on Washington, town hall meetings, and small groups opposed to key modern issues have fought back against our “government as usual”.  In response to these citizens exercising their rights to free speech they have been ignored and worse, even attacked; called Nazis, terrorists and non-patriotic.  Today more than ever since the writing of the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution, citizens are in an absolute struggle to take back their country.

COI formed to unite all the disenfranchised, disgruntled and ignored citizens of this country.  COI understands that in order to ever allow free and open debate, transparency and full disclosure on the actions of the political leaders in America we must achieve one key change: The END OF INCUMBENCY.

Congress will never impose term limits on themselves.  It is against their nature and not in the interest of the parties.  They seek POWER not the opportunity to provide public service.  We are CITZENS OPPOSING INCUMBENCY and we are strong willed, survivors, against the odds and obstacles thrown at us, we will succeed and persevere.  We will take our country back by defeating incumbents Nationwide in National and Statewide races.  COI will change America and ensure that “government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth”.

We encourage all Americans to join us, a truly grassroots organization with a Nationwide plan to organize on the local, state and national level to defeat the self perpetuating politicians, their parties and to reclaim the power they have seized and to return it to the people. 

We stand for the following:

1. Career politicians are harmful to the proper functioning of government.
2. No politician shall be allowed to seek more than 2 terms in any office.
3. Career politicians in the State House or US Congress must be defeated.
4. We believe in a 2 and up (higher office) or 2 and out (retirement) rule.
   (AND COI WILL ENFORCE THIS RULE AT THE BALLOT BOX)
5. All politicians will be required to sign a pledge to COI membership that they will not seek more than 2 terms.  If they break their promise: They will be defeated.
6. COI survives only on the modest membership dues of its members.  No special interest money is permitted in COI.
7. COI is an equal opportunity Political Action Committee: We welcome ALL Americans to join us in this fight.

Ideally we will have fulfilled our mission in 18 years.  If so, we will maintain our structure only to help educate and guide the voters into an understanding of the harm caused by allowing Party politics and self perpetuating politicians to achieve obscene terms of incumbency.

If our members are active in a party, this is fine: we believe you agree even your party will not support our noble cause.  Parties establish platforms based on issues.  COI has established a common sense rule that incumbency is the first step toward lost rights, freedoms and liberty and is the cause of corruption and excessive power in government.  We encourage party faithful to be active in your party to convince them that they MUST provide valid non-incumbent candidates.
